How it works
Ensiling made easy
Extremely easy to operate: the unit travels along the silo wall, rolls up the sheet and covers the silo again. The system regulates the fill level of the water tubes by itself.
-
Roll up by remote control
The cover sheet is rolled up to the required length.
-
Remove feed or ensile
For ensiling, the unit is raised – your vehicles drive underneath it.
-
Cover up – done
The pump fills the tubes with rainwater and monitors the fill level automatically.

Even in winter: A patented process with heat recovery is designed to keep the water in the tubes liquid even at sub-zero temperatures.
Why farms choose AgroCover
Energy self-sufficient
Solar-powered operation – no power connection needed at the silo wall.
Rainwater instead of sandbags
Recovered rainwater fills the tube chambers – the sheet hugs the silage like a second skin.
Resource-saving
No single-use film or nets – significantly less waste, and the sheet lasts 10 to 15 years.
Fits your silo
Adaptable to different silo widths and perfectly matched with our concrete elements.
Feeding can be integrated
Can optionally be integrated into the automatic feeding process.
Better silage quality
Air- and watertight – the sheet fits tightly against the forage, significantly reducing trapped air and forage losses.

Frequently asked questions about bunker silos
Your question is not listed? We will gladly advise you personally.
What does a bunker silo with a cover system cost?
That depends on the size, the number of chambers, the ground conditions and the extras you want. We will gladly prepare a quote for you – from the supply of elements only to a turnkey bunker silo at a fixed price.
How many people does it take to cover the bunker silo?
With the AgroCover cover system, just one: the silo is opened and closed by remote control. Film, nets and sandbags are no longer needed, and the system regulates the fill level of the water tubes automatically.
Does AgroCover also work in winter?
Yes, it is designed for that: a patented process with heat recovery keeps the rainwater in the tube chambers liquid even at sub-zero temperatures. For particularly cold locations, we are happy to advise you.
What is the difference between AgroCover and Silage Safe?
AgroCover covers the silo mechanically and by remote control – ideal for daily feed removal. Silage Safe is the low-cost alternative without a machine: plastic sheets, perforated PVC pipes, steel pipes and tension straps seal the feed airtight, and no sandbags are needed here either.
Does building a bunker silo with concrete elements comply with water protection rules?
Corner, floor and wall comply with Swiss regulations and are recognised as a construction solution. Sealing strips on the end faces of the element feet seal the joints.
