AgroCover – the automatic bunker silo cover system

Silo cover without film, nets or sandbags: a solar-powered unit rolls the sheet up and down by remote control. Water tubes in the sheet ensure an airtight and watertight seal.

Four components, one system

Everything is matched to everything else – from the unit on the silo wall to the rainwater reservoir.

Roll-up unit

Remote-controlled and solar-powered. Large rollers give a firm grip on the top of the elements; when raised, vehicles can drive underneath the unit. For relocation, the cover rolls can be set down.

Cover

A made-to-measure sheet that fits the silage material like a skin. Life expectancy 10 to 15 years.

Water tubes and connections of the AgroCover filling system

Filling system

Tube chambers in the sheet, running lengthways and along the edge. A pump fills them with rainwater and maintains the fill level.

Underground tank for rainwater with hose connection

Rainwater reservoir

A ground tank of around 20 m³ stores the rainwater. It flows back when the sheet is rolled up, and an overflow safeguard is integrated.

The cover determines the silage quality

The AgroCover cover sheet conforms to the silage material like a skin. The weight of the filled tubes pushes out practically the last air bubble as the sheet settles.

The tube chambers are integrated into the sheet, run lengthways and bound the cover at the edge. Thanks to the liquid weighting, the sheet also hugs the feed closely along the walls and seals it. A perfect seal has a very positive effect on fermentation – quality losses and feed losses are almost entirely avoided.

Everyday use: it's that simple

Daily feeding

Remote control, roll up, remove feed, cover up. The fill level of the tubes regulates itself automatically.

Ensiling

Open the ground valves, roll up the cover, release the connections, raise the roll and move it to the end – vehicles drive underneath the unit while compacting.

Closing the silo

Roll out the cover, connect it, close the ground valves, activate the pump – done. Even in winter, thanks to patented heat recovery.

Which silo cover suits you?

A comparison of the common solutions for bunker silos.

Criterion AgroCover Silage Safe Film, netting & sandbags
Operation 1 person, by remote control by hand, without sandbags several people, a lot of manual work
Weighting Rainwater in tube chambers PVC and steel pipes, tension straps Sandbags, tyres
Waste no film waste little film and netting every year
Investment higher, pays for itself through saved labour low-cost low, but ongoing costs
Suitable for Farms with daily feed removal Silos filled in layers occasional use
